Melissa Beattie, MSW, LICSW

Melissa works with young adults and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, body image concerns, self-esteem challenges, relationship issues, and life transitions. Using person-centered therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic approaches, she helps clients build self-compassion, emotional awareness, and confidence in themselves and their relationships.

Dani Small, MSW, LICSW

Dani works with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, and relationship concerns. Using relational, psychodynamic, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and liberatory approaches, she helps clients build authentic, connected, and fulfilling lives.

Dani accepts Blue Cross, United Healthcare, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island (NHP), Student Resources, Harvard Pilgrim, Tufts, and Aetna insurance plans.

As of June 2026, Dani is considered “out-of-network” for the following insurances: Cigna Medicare, and Tricare insurance plans.

Tracy Hawes, MA

Tracy works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and women navigating anxiety, infertility, grief, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, and midlife transitions. Drawing from mindfulness, expressive therapies, CBT, Narrative Therapy, somatic awareness, and IFS-informed concepts, she helps clients reconnect with their strengths and move toward greater balance and fulfillment.

Tracy will begin accepting insurance starting September 2026. In the meantime, she offers a copay match and other sliding fee arrangements. Please contact the office for more info.

 
 
 

Emily Newberry Sacks, MA, LMHC

Emily works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, trauma, behavioral concerns, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. Using person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches, she incorporates mindfulness and creative expression to help clients build resilience, confidence, and self-compassion.

Laura Vargas, MSW, LICSW

Laura is a bilingual English- and Spanish-speaking therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem concerns, relationship conflicts, and life transitions. Using CBT, trauma-informed care, and person-centered approaches, she helps clients develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves while creating meaningful and lasting change.

Sam Brilhante, MA, LMHC

Sam specializes in working with creatives, women, queer individuals, and young adults navigating trauma, anxiety, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Using EMDR, parts work, and IFS-informed, trauma-informed approaches, she helps clients better understand themselves, heal from difficult experiences, and move forward with greater confidence and self-compassion.

She also provides Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for clients seeking an innovative approach to healing and personal growth. Drawing from CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, and IFS-informed concepts, she helps clients build confidence, resilience, and practical coping skills while creating meaningful change.

Tara Martino, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Tara provides psychiatric medication management for children, adolescents, and adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, and perinatal mental health concerns. She specializes in working with neurodivergent individuals, parents, and creative thinkers, combining evidence-based psychopharmacology with practical skill-building to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, organization, stress management, and overall well-being.

She is currently undergoing insurance credentialing for Medicare and Tricare. During this time she is considered “out-of-network” (OON) for these plans.

Sydney Resendes, MS, LMHC-A

Sydney works with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, and life transitions. Using a person-centered approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she incorporates mindfulness and emotional regulation strategies to help clients build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and develop resilience in a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment.
