Welcome to ME Psychotherapy, a warm and supportive group private practice located on the East Side of Providence. Our competent and caring professionals offer a variety of tools and techniques to safety navigate difficult the life transitions. Our mission is to help you and your loved ones accomplish these goals in a painless, compassionate, and efficient way.

We use a comprehensive treatment model, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Brief Solution- Focused Therapy, and Mindful Self-Compassion. Several of our providers also offer online therapy (Telehealth) sessions.

ME Psychotherapy also provides a user-friendly online client portal for scheduling first-time appointments. We use Simple Practice for our online therapy (Telehealth) platform.

 

Meet Our Team!

ME Psychotherapy, LLC was founded by Marisa Etting in 2009. The practice has grown over the years and now includes several therapists, who are independent contractors working with the group practice.

Marisa Etting, MA, LCMHC, PMH-C

Marisa is a licensed Rhode Island therapist and owner/founder of ME Psychotherapy, LLC. After working in community mental health for many years providing home-based services for children and families, Marisa opened her private practice in 2009.  Marisa specializes in pregnancy and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders and supporting new mothers and fathers with adjusting to parenthood.  She also enjoys working with women with anxiety & perfectionism, and adolescents/college students who struggle with stress management and issues with relationships. Marisa is in the office Tuesday through Thursday.

Meaghan Sherman, M.Ed, LMHC

Meaghan is a licensed Rhode Island therapist.  She has experience working in community mental health and substance abuse programs, providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Meaghan specializes in pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders and enjoys working with women, new moms, and adolescents experiencing a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, self esteem and personal growth, difficulty with life transitions, stress, new parenting issues, school stress, and decision making. Meaghan is in the office on Fridays and also offers online therapy sessions (Telehealth) during the weekdays.

Sarah Soifert, MA, LMHC

Sarah is a licensed Rhode Island therapist. She has experience working in community mental health, providing intensive home-based services for children and families. Sarah specializes in working with women struggling with anxiety, women having adjustment issues with pregnancy/new parenting, couples struggling with relationship difficulties and life transitions, and children with behavioral disorders. Sarah enjoys using family and play therapy to assist with behavioral management and issues related to co-parenting with divorce situations or conflicting parenting styles. Sarah is in the office Monday through Wednesday.

Allison Ravech, MSW, LCSW

Allison is a licensed Rhode Island therapist. She has experience working in hospitals and outpatient services. She currently teaches a clinical course at Brown University Alpert Medical School as faculty to medical students. She enjoys working with adults of all ages and couples who are struggling with life transitions, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Allison has experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. She believes that all therapy, no matter the technique, should encompass warmth and support without judgment. Allison only offers online therapy sessions (Telehealth) Thursdays .

Jill Murphree, MSW, LICSW

Jill is a licensed Rhode Island therapist. She has experience working within primary and specialty care clinics, working with clients with medical diagnoses that impact mental health. Jill works with adults and specializes in supporting clients in making lifestyle changes and adjusting to medical conditions, including depression, anxiety, stress, and self esteem issues related to new or chronic medical diagnoses. She has experience with Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Jill is in the office on Monday and Thursday evenings.

Tania Patrizio, MSW, LICSW

Tania is a licensed Rhode Island therapist. She has experience working in the foster care and adoption systems, specializing in foster care adoptions, domestic infant adoptions, and caregiver adoptions. Tania specializes in working with adolescents and has extensive experience working with families in crisis. She also enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, as well as individuals, couples, and families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, family conflict, adjustment, trauma, and life transitions. Tania only offers online therapy sessions (Telehealth) mornings, evenings, and Saturdays.

Maggie Peruto, MA, LMHC, LCDP

Maggie is a licensed Rhode Island therapist. Additionally, she is a licensed substance abuse counselor. Maggie has experience working in the field of substance use disorders, partial hospital treatment, and is now working in private practice. She is holistically oriented by nature and training and specializes in working with clients who have depression, anxiety and co-occurring disorders with substance use.  Maggie has taught masters level seminars on grief counseling and considers grief and loss an area of specialty.  She also works with clients who are struggling with chronic illness or end-of-life issues. Maggie is in the office on Friday evenings and weekends.

Kimberly Masterson, MA, LMHC

Kimberly is a licensed Rhode Island and Massachusetts therapist. She has experience working with children, teens, and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, behavioral difficulties, self-esteem issues, and work or school difficulties. Kimberly specializes in working with clients with trauma and children and adults who are on the autism spectrum. Kimberly has experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, behavior modification, and applied behavior analysis. Kim is in the office on Monday mornings and also offers online therapy sessions (Telehealth) on weekday evenings.
