Welcome to ME Psychotherapy, a warm and supportive group private practice located on the East Side of Providence. Our competent and caring professionals offer a variety of tools and techniques to safety navigate difficult the life transitions. Our mission is to help you and your loved ones accomplish these goals in a painless, compassionate, and efficient way.

We use a comprehensive treatment model, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapy, brief solution- focused therapy, and mindful self-compassion. Some of our providers also offer online therapy (Telehealth) sessions.

ME Psychotherapy also provides a user-friendly online client portal for scheduling first-time appointments. We use Simple Practice for our online therapy (Telehealth) platform.


Meet Our Team!

ME Psychotherapy, LLC was founded by Marisa Etting in 2009. The practice has grown over the years and now includes several therapists, who are independent contractors working with the group practice.


Marisa Etting, MA, LCMHC, PMH-C

Marisa has been a Rhode Island resident for over a decade. After working in community mental health for many years providing home-based services for children and families, Marisa opened her private practice in 2009.  Marisa specializes in pregnancy and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders and supporting new mothers and fathers with adjusting to parenthood.  She also enjoys working with women with anxiety & perfectionism, and adolescents/college students who struggle with stress management and issues with relationships.

Sarah Soifert, MA, LMHC

Sarah has been a Rhode Island resident for seven years. Prior to ME Psychotherapy, Sarah worked in community mental health for several years, providing intensive home-based services for children and families. Sarah specializes in working with children with behavioral disorders, women with anxiety, women who are having adjustment issues with pregnancy/new parenting, and couples struggling with relationship difficulties and life transitions. Sarah enjoys using family and play therapy to assist with behavioral management and issues related to co-parenting with divorce situations or conflicting parenting styles.

Jill Murphree, MSW, LICSW

Jill is a licensed independent clinical social worker and has lived in Rhode Island for three years. Her clinical experience consists of providing social work and mental health services within primary and specialty care clinics. Jill specializes in supporting clients in making lifestyle changes and adjusting to medical conditions, including depression, anxiety, stress, and self esteem issues related to new or chronic medical diagnoses. She has experience with motivational interviewing, solution focused brief therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Maggie Peruto, MA, LMHC, LCDP

Maggie has been a Rhode Island resident for 20 years and is holistically oriented by nature and training. After working in the field of substance use disorders and at the partial hospital level of care at a local psychiatric hospital, she opened her private practice. Maggie specializes in depression, anxiety and co-occurring disorders with substance use.  She has taught masters level seminars on grief counseling and considers grief and loss an area of specialty.  She also works with clients who are struggling with chronic illness or end-of-life issues.

Kimberly Masterson, MA, LMHC

Kimberly is a licensed mental health counselor in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She has over 12 years’ experience working with children ages 4 yrs old through adulthood. She has extensive experience supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, behavioral difficulties, self-esteem issues, work or school difficulties as well as working with children and adults on the autism spectrum. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families in a variety of settings. Kimberly has experience with cognitive behavior therapy, solution focus brief therapy, behavior modification and applied behavior analysis.

Meaghan Sherman, M.Ed, LMHC

Meaghan is a licensed Rhode Island therapist.  She has worked in community mental health and substance abuse programs where she provided psychotherapy for individuals and families and ran therapy groups. Meaghan specializes in pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders and enjoys working with women, new moms, and adolescents experiencing a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, self esteem and personal growth, difficulty with life transitions, stress, new parenting issues, and decision making.

 Tania Patrizio, MSW, LICSW

Tania was born and raised in Rhode Island before moving to California where she gained much of her clinical experience. She relocated back to Rhode Island in 2017 and is excited to offer online therapy to Rhode Island residents. Tania has worked extensively in the foster care and adoption systems, specializing in foster care adoptions, domestic infant adoptions, and caregiver adoptions. Tania specializes in working with adolescents and has extensive experience working with families in crisis. She also enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, as well as individuals, couples, and families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, family conflict, adjustment, trauma, and life transitions.
